When not unbinding it from its earlier function (in the same menu),
it would result in showing the keystroke twice in the help text.
This fixes https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?55239.
Bug was introduced a month ago, by commit f81d174f.
The new binding will be put at the head of the list and thus will
be the one that is found -- the old binding will never be seen, so
rubbing it out is just a waste of time.
Using --zap or -Z on the command line, or 'set zap' in a nanorc file,
makes the <Bsp> and <Del> keys erase selected text (a marked region)
as they do in some other editors, and without affecting the cutbuffer.
This fulfills https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?54837.

The 'wrap_at' variable, removed in commit e90b7cf4, is actually needed
to store the original value of the --fill option when it is negative.
Otherwise, changing the screen width will not update the wrapping point
properly.

Move the unsetting of some options further down, to prevent the user's
nanorc enabling things that are not permitted in restricted mode.
Also, in restricted mode, suppress error messages about functions not
being present in the requested menus, so that a nanorc that is valid in
normal mode does not cause unnecessary messages when using --restricted.

On a Linux VT, refuse to start when there are errors in a nanorc file,
so that the messages no longer get overwritten -- which prevented the
user from seeing and reading them.
This fixes https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?54442.
Since the last version, the user can filter an entire buffer through
an external command. This external command can also be a formatting
program, so there is no longer any need for this specific and special
formatter command.
(In the Search and Replace menus Cancel is not essential. And in the
Goto Line menu Cancel is not needed at all: a simple <Enter> after an
empty answer works fine.)

That is, do not fall back to the default background color when the
name for the background color is invalid, but reject the entire
color command, just like for an invalid foreground color.
In this way a single keystroke can produce a fragment of text or a
series of commands, or a mix of the two. It is like a prerecorded
macro.

The verbosity "hid" the really relevant information:
filename, line number, and the error message.
Valid values and other details can be found in the manual pages.
When the palette is getting initialized, it is too late to send any
error messages about the rcfile options to standard error.

Each leading tab is converted to two tabs, and any leading four spaces
is converted to one tab. The intended tab size (for keeping most lines
within 80 columns) is now four.
When not finding a .nanorc file in the user's home directory, nano will
look for a nanorc file in $XDG_CONFIG_HOME and in the ~/.config/nano/
fallback directory. And when not finding a .nano/ subdir in the user's
home directory, nano will look for (or create) the history files in
$XDG_DATA_HOME or in the ~/.local/share/nano/ fallback directory.
This is a partial implementation of the XDG Base Directory Specification:
https://standards.freedesktop.org/basedir-spec/basedir-spec-latest.html,
for the purpose of reducing the clutter in a user's home directory, and
to make it easier to back up just the configuration files.

If the user uses a single version of nano, they have no need for
--quiet. If they do sometimes use an older version and don't want
to see the warnings, they can use 2>/dev/null (they could make an
alias for that and put it before the call of nano).
The new option 'set selectedcolor' applies to marked text, to the
currently selected file in the file browser, and to the highlighted
match during interactive search-and-replace.
Include the shortcut for 'Uncut' into most menus, and add an uncut
function for the status bar, so that it becomes possible to paste
the first line of the cutbuffer at any text-input prompt.

Extend get_softwrap_breakpoint() to break softwrapped lines on
whitespace when a flag is set. This flag is controlled by the new
rcfile option "atblanks". The '>' characters marking two-column
characters at the edge of the screen are disabled when it's on.
If get_softwrap_breakpoint() can't find whitespace in screen range, it
will break the line on the screen edge. (In this case, a blank can be
on the last column of the screen, but text can't, so that a blank on the
last column doesn't become invisible and possibly break the display.)

Eradicate the need for backslashes, so that the start of the nanorc
manual becomes true, where it says that quotes inside strings don't
need to be escaped. In the bargain achieve that the empty string

This avoids some warnings when compiled with -pedantic:
ISO C forbids comparison of ‘void *’ with function pointer
ISO C forbids empty initializer braces
When the active syntax contains a comment command that specifies the
empty string, this should override the default comment of "#" and
should disable the Meta-3 keystroke.
To achieve this, the comment string is now set by default to "#" for
all syntaxes, so that it will be set when no comment command is given
(including for the "none" syntax), and is unset only by explicitly
specifying «comment ""» in a syntax file.

The interval 2013-2017 for the Free Software Foundation is valid
because in those years there were releases with changes by either
Chris or David, and the GNU maintainers guide advises to mention
a new year in all files of a package, not just in the ones that
actually changed, and be done with it for the rest of the year.
These improvements will eventually make do_home() and do_end() take
parameters. Since the global function lists can hold only functions
without parameters, preemptively add do_home_void() and do_end_void(),
and make the global function lists use them.
The platform's default char type might be signed, which could cause
problems in 8-bit locales.
